In 1983, Michael Kowalski and David Wrobleski founded Huron Lawn Service. A year later, Mr. Kowalski purchased Mr. Wrobleski's 50% share of the business and became the sole owner. After several years of steady growth, in 1990 Huron Lawn Service acquired the lawn care division of "Green Thumb." Two years later Huron Lawn Service incorporated in the state of Michigan, 60,000 shares of common stock were issued. In 1994 Huron Lawn Service purchased "Scio Lawn Care" and "Alpine Red Lawn Care." Matthew Krueger became a 15% shareholder in 1995. In 1997 the company changed to full service landscape maintenance and installation company and was renamed Great Outdoors. Currently, Mr. Kowalski is serving as the company's Chief Executive Officer, while Mr. Krueger is serving as President.
