Irrigation FAQs
-
The cost of a sprinkler system installation depends on the size of your lawn, the number of zones needed, your water source, and the plantings being covered. A small front yard system is priced very differently from full coverage on a large residential or commercial property. During your site visit, we design a system for your specific property and provide a clear estimate before any work begins.

Irrigation systems in Southeast Michigan should be winterized in the fall, before the first hard freeze, typically by late October or early November. Winterization blows the remaining water out of the lines so it cannot freeze, expand, and crack pipes, valves, or sprinkler heads. Skipping this step is one of the most common causes of expensive spring repairs, so we schedule blowouts for our clients every fall.
-
An irrigation system needs attention at least three times a year: a spring startup, a mid-season checkup, and a fall winterization. Spring startups confirm every zone, head, and nozzle survived the winter, while mid-season visits catch clogged nozzles, tilted heads, and coverage gaps before they show up as brown patches. Regular irrigation maintenance also keeps your system from overwatering, which protects both your landscape and your water bill.

We start with a full system inspection, walk you through what we find, and recommend repairs that make sense for the age and condition of your system.
